So i finally decided to subscribe to Adobe for lightroom (and soon premiere pro) after having used Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and the original Vegas Video since 2004. Wow is there a difference! There are so many more tools you can use to do some awesome edits so much quicker than I could before. The blog posts about my editing are sort of a 'learning out loud' diary that i hope can show a realistic learning progression for a newbie like me! One day i aspire to be the Fenty Beauty-ful editor I was destined to be. So without further adieu, here are my ig wannabe photos.
I took this picture in the construction zone behind my apartment in Bellevue, Washington. Forgive me and my n00b speak, but this is a jpeg copy of the raw file that the camera took. I took this at F10 / 35mm / 100 ISO.
Unedited raw file.
First tone adjustments and color corrections with adjustment brush.
Last edit with adjustment brushes to fix the water color, bring the detail in the houses out and emphasize the sky a little more.
To sum it all up, spin the tone curves around, fiddle with everything except saturation, and use adjustment brushes and click the 'Show Selected Mask Overlay' button to create your 'mask' and edit away!
$11/month subscription for lightroom and photoshop? ULTRA WORTH.
